A decent co-working space. ℹ️ What you should know • Parking is outside the campus. My car was of course covered in a coat of dust at the end of the day. Covered basement parking is not allowed for Awfis customers to my knowledge. • The building has an attached market for basic needs: salon, toys, cafe, ATM, bank, etc. • The attached cafe does not accept cards. Only UPI and Paytm. • Reception is at the very back of the campus (this confused me); there are 3 regular speed lifts in operation, so you might have to wait a little during rush hours. 👍 Pros • Reliable internet • Ample spaces to chill • Clean washrooms • Eating area on both floors, cafe on 10th floor • Friendly, if a bit clueless, staff 👎 Cons • No hot water for washing hands • No heating in the common areas (if it was running, it was not effective) • Only 2 power slots per seat • Open/dedicated seats are quite cramped together (in my opinion) • Facial scan is required to "login" to the office. Quite idiotic as not all of us will be comfortable. Was able to dodge it, but the staff did not warn me at all! Also got a KYC email at the middle of the day. Have not explored what the link asks for because I am not 100% sure I want to get a seat at this co-working space. 💅🏼 My own experience as a day pass holder • Got a less than ideal seat (it was facing a boring wall... I have that at home 😅), there's not many slots left for dedicated desks. • WiFi setup took over an hour because the manager on duty, Ali, was busy in a meeting. I had to pester them for this otherwise I think I would have spent the whole day on my own hotspot! When he did get free, he was quite patient and friendly in giving me a demo of the whole setup. • Spoke with Ali about letting me know if a dedicated desk is available of my preference before he left for the day. Didn't hear from him. Also wanted to enquire about a more permanent parking solution, but since he left without meeting me, no clue about it! • The general problem that seems to plague all co-working spaces plagues them too - people walking and taking their calls in the hallway, even if their company has a private cabin. Open spaces are noisy enough on their own with the non-cabin workers, don't need more of that all the time during the day from cabin workers. • I wanted to chill during my lunch break but Netflix was blocked. Meh. Not a deal-breaker as we can use our own hot-spots, but something worth knowing. • Not a huge fan of the CCD coffee machine, but that is what they have... 🤷🏻‍♀️ 🫶🏼 Advice: with a little more care, less "corporate-speak" and just talking to customers in more honest, plain, no-BS language will be a good step forward. A booklet detailing all the basic things (WiFi access instructions, parking, cafe, seating areas separation etc.) somewhere will be excellent as well! Curbing anxious phone talkers away from hallways will turn this into a five-star place. I might still end up booking a spot here, but that's more so because there's not many options on this side of Gurgaon.
